The last few days have created a sense of uncertainty. While it is important to stay up-to-date with what is happening, it’s also important to step away from the information overload. Take time to be in the moment and connect with the family and friends who support you – if you can’t connect in person, you can connect online or via the phone.

Looking after yourself is important, but so is looking after each other. Check out this card (from Meena Kadri) that you can use to let people in your neighbourhood and community know that you can help.

If you are feeling anxious or stressed, I’ve written many posts about the different ways yoga can help with managing stress, including breathing practices, meditation and restorative yoga.

If you aren’t able to come to my classes, or prefer not to, you can still do yoga at home with my free videos on YouTube. This includes 12 yoga classes that range in length from 10 to 60 minutes.

Like most yoga studios and businesses in Aotearoa New Zealand, I’m following Ministry of Health advice. I am continuing to offer weekly classes, but will update my website and facebook page if this changes. We can all do our part by:

  • Not coming to yoga if you are feeling unwell
  • Bring your own yoga mat if you have one
  • If you borrow a yoga mat, cleaning it with the disinfectant (I’ll be providing a new solution and clean towels each week)
  • Washing your hands regularly.
