In our busy lives, managing stress and relaxing are always important. But as the end of year approaches and the silly season kicks in, it’s more important than ever.

Restorative yoga is a great option to turn to. It not only helps relax muscles that get tense from carrying stress, but it also triggers the parasympathetic nervous or the ‘rest and digest’ response. This is literally the physiological process that tells our body it’s OK to slow down, rest and recover.

To see what I mean try one of these two poses or come along to my end of the year 2 hour relaxing restorative yoga session at Urban Calm on the 11 November.
